Leaving Uptides

There are no penalties or lock-ins. Optimizations stop, your original titles and thumbnails are restored, and you keep all historical gains.

Cancelling during the trial

Cancel anytime before the trial end date shown on your Billing page and you are never charged.

Disconnecting a channel

On the Billing page, Disconnect & delete channel restores every title and thumbnail Uptides applied back to your original versions on YouTube, then permanently deletes the channel's data from Uptides after a 7-day grace period. You type DELETE to confirm.

During the grace period the Billing page shows "We're restoring your original titles and thumbnails," and any owner can Cancel Deletion to keep using Uptides. Your YouTube channel and content are not affected; only data stored by Uptides is removed.

If Uptides no longer has access to your YouTube account, the page asks you to Reconnect YouTube so it can finish restoring your titles and thumbnails before removing your data.

A member who is not the owner sees Leave channel instead, which removes them and leaves the channel with its owner.

Deleting your account

Delete Account schedules your account and all associated data for permanent deletion after 7 days. The dialog lists each of your channels and what happens to it:

• a channel with no other users is deleted, after your original titles and thumbnails are restored on YouTube
• a channel with other members is transferred to another user, or you are removed from it

A banner shows the deletion date, with a Cancel deletion button, until it happens. You receive an email when deletion is scheduled, if it is cancelled, and when it is complete.
