Brand settings

Teach Uptides your thumbnail style with example videos, add an inspiration video, and see the brand identity it extracts.

Updated September 21, 2026

Uptides studies your channel's look before it proposes titles or thumbnails. Settings → Brand is where you steer that study, and where you can see what it concluded. What it learns here shapes the titles and thumbnails Uptides proposes.

Thumbnail examples

Choose up to three of your own videos whose thumbnails best show your style. Paste their YouTube URLs, one per line, and Save. Uptides then reads your style from those thumbnails instead of from your most recent videos. The page says which it is using: your picks, or recent videos automatically.

Saving a new set also refreshes what Uptides knows about your look, so the Brand identity card below updates with it.

Inspiration example

Add one video from any channel, including a channel you admire, whose thumbnail style you are aiming for. Uptides treats it as an aspirational reference when it reads your look. You can replace it or clear it at any time; saving or clearing also refreshes your brand identity.

Show hosts

Some channels have a Show Hosts section here. If yours does, add a headshot and a name for up to five people who appear on camera. The headshots are used when Uptides generates thumbnails.

Brand identity

The Brand identity card shows what Uptides currently understands about your look: your channel name and handle, your host, your tagline, and the colors it found. You cannot edit the card directly. To change it, update your thumbnail examples or your inspiration video and save. The card updates with them and shows when it was last refreshed.

If there is nothing on the card yet, add thumbnail examples and save.
